The benefits of birch sap

The sap is the nourishing liquid which goes up through the trunk to nourish the buds and leaves of the birch. Extracted directly from the tree trunk, the sap is harvested for about a month, in the spring when nature wakes up.

A Russian laboratory has developed a product made from birch sap: Biomos. This drug has a demonstrated ability to heal wounds and burns and acts as a substance Pain killer and antisclerosis.

Other research has shown that thechlorogenic acid birch sap (also found in coffee) decreases appetite, decreases absorption of carbohydrates and promotes the use of fats to provide energy and therefore allow a weightloss.

Finally, the flavonoids contained in birch sap such as quercetin are of recognized efficiency today strengthen blood vessels, lower blood pressure and fight water retention.
